Briggs & Stratton Adds New PowerProtect + Models
Briggs & Stratton has introduced three new models in its PowerProtect + standby generator line, expanding the series with 18-, 22- and 26-kilowatt units.
According to the company, the new lineup includes 64 engineering upgrades. A frontfacing exhaust design remains one of the central features. Briggs & Stratton said the exhaust directs heat and fumes away from nearby structures and landscaping while allowing greater flexibility during installation. The PowerProtect + models also include the company’ s EnergyTrak remote monitoring platform as standard equipment. Through the EnergyTrak mobile app, operators can monitor generator status, while dealers can identify maintenance issues earlier through remote diagnostics.
The 26-kilowatt model measures 46 by 27 by 28 inches and delivers more than 26 kilowatts on liquid propane and 24 kilowatts on natural gas. It includes 65.5 kilovoltamperes of motor-starting power.
The 22-kilowatt model, also measuring 46 by 27 by 28 inches, delivers 22 kilowatts on both liquid propane and natural gas. The 18-kilowatt model uses the same dimensions and delivers 18 kilowatts on both fuel types. Both models provide 45 kilovolt-amperes of motor-starting power.
Konecranes Launches Modular Generation D Lift Truck Platform
Konecranes has introduced its new Generation D lift truck platform, launching with diesel and electric reach stackers designed as a modular system intended to support different operational requirements while simplifying fleet management and maintenance through a common architecture. The first products available under the platform are diesel and electric reach stackers, which are now available for order.
According to Konecranes, the platform has been developed with a focus on digital integration and long-term lifecycle performance. It features a cyber-secure digital architecture capable of connecting with terminal operating systems and third-party applications. It also supports over-theair software updates, allowing equipment to remain up to date and enabling the addition of new features over time.
The system includes remote monitoring and diagnostics functions intended to support maintenance planning and troubleshooting, with the aim of reducing unplanned downtime.
The diesel reach stackers on the Generation D platform continue to focus on established performance characteristics for container handling applications, while incorporating simplified maintenance processes intended to improve operational uptime.
The electric reach stackers produce zero tailpipe emissions during operation and offer acceleration up to 25 % faster than comparable diesel models, according to the company. They also feature battery configurations and fast-charging options designed for both single-shift and continuous operations.
Both diesel and electric versions retain existing ergonomic design elements and visibility features, combined with a digital interface intended to present operational data in a simplified format for operators.
Brass Knuckle Expands Eye Protection Line
Brass Knuckle has released its Licorice( BKADJ-5001) safety glasses, adding a new eye protection option designed for workers in access, construction and industrial applications.
The company said the glasses were developed to improve wearer comfort through lightweight construction and adjustable components intended to support extended use on the jobsite. Features include variable-length temples and a pivoting nosepiece designed to help workers achieve a more secure fit.
According to Brass Knuckle, users can adjust the temple length for a customized fit, while the
Brass Knuckle PivotEase nosepiece provides a secure, non-slip fit on the bridge of the nose. The design also includes a thermoplastic rubber( TPR) nose pad intended to improve comfort during prolonged wear.
Licorice safety glasses feature a matte black polycarbonate frame and include anti-fog performance as well as resistance to abrasion, chemicals and ultraviolet exposure. The glasses meet ANSI Z87.1 + and EN166UV testing requirements, according to the company.
A smoke lens option is also available, allowing 18 % light transmission for different work environments and lighting conditions.
