LIFT SPOTLIGHT
Aerials
Each Product Roundup offers highlights on a specific type of equipment for the aerial lift and material handling industry. These manufacturers have provided details on the model of their choosing.
JLG HC3
JLG HC3 boom lifts can lift up to 1,000 pounds( 454 kilograms), carrying more weight to height, including up to three workers with their tools plus materials. This reduces the need for multiple trips and additional equipment, increasing efficiency and productivity by allowing teams to accomplish more in less time.
The HC3 boom lifts feature three working zones for both safety and operational efficiency: An unrestricted 660-pound( 300-kilogram) zone and two restricted zones of 750 pounds( 340 kilograms) and 1,000 pounds( 454 kilograms). As the machine moves between these zones, the system automatically adjusts the lifting capacity to match operational demands and ensure safety. This feature prevents overloading and maintains stability, giving operators the confidence to work at height with heavy loads. JLG also incorporated a zero-calibration, automatic load-sensing system into its HC3 boom lifts, keeping an HC3 machine within its allowable work envelope by limiting range based on platform load. If an overload situation occurs, operators can quickly respond by removing or unloading items, and the machine will recognize when it’ s back within its rated capacity, allowing operations to resume work.
JLG’ s line of HC3 boom lift models offers contractors several highcapacity options for various jobsite requirements.
The HC3 family includes six telescopic boom lift models: the 400S HC3, 460SJ HC3, 600S HC3, 660SJ HC3, 800S HC3 and 860SJ HC3. And, three articulated boom lift models: the 450AJ HC3, 600AJ HC3 and 800AJ HC3. The high-capacity models share the same footprint as their standard counterparts, allowing for similar transportation and jobsite requirements.

PALFINGER PB 38 AT P & PB 30 T
The PALFINGER bucket truck lineup includes models designed for utility and telecommunications applications. The PB 38 AT P cable placer and PB 30 T bucket truck are intended for work performed by lineworkers and other personnel working at height.
The PB 38 AT P includes a 43-foot working height, more than 27 feet of side reach and a 400-pound bucket capacity. The boom can be operated while the vehicle is in motion during cable-placement activities. The PB 38 AT P comes with a flexible platform stowage that provides safe, convenient access from the tail shelf and helps maximize deck space when crews need additional room for tools and materials. Standard features include a 12-volt emergency hydraulic power, a durable, removable fork arm and an intercom system.
The PB 30 T bucket truck offers a 35-foot working height, 22 feet of side reach and a 350-pound platform capacity. Additional features include a 1-foot, 4-inch bucket entry height and boom movement controls for positioning the platform.
Both the PB 38 AT P and the PB 30 T are non-insulated and feature intuitive one-handed controls, allowing operators to keep one hand free for tools, materials or added stability. Together, the PB 38 AT P and PB 30 T non-insulated models from PALFINGER reflect a broader push toward application-specific truck-mounted aerials that balance reach, maneuverability and operator convenience.
