LGMG Adds Three New Machines to Canadian MEWP Lineup

LGMG North America has introduced three new machines to the Canadian market, expanding its mobile elevating work platform( MEWP) and telehandler offerings for rental fleets and contractors. The new products include the T125J-2 telescopic boom lift, the M1932TE vertical mast lift, and the H5519E electric telehandler.
The T125J-2 becomes the tallest telescopic boom lift in LGMG’ s Canadian lineup, offering a maximum working height of 131 feet, 11 inches( 40.2 meters). The boom lift features a dualcapacity platform with an unrestricted capacity of up to 661 pounds( 300 kilograms), allowing operators to carry additional tools and materials while working at height.
Other features include a 180-degree rotating platform, 45 % gradeability, a standard Hostile Environment Kit, and steel service covers. The machine weighs 42,108 pounds( 19,100 kilograms), which LGMG said can simplify transportation by reducing the need for special permits in many situations.

Genie Introduces GTH-1544 15K Telehandler Model

Genie has launched the GTH-1544, a 15,000-pound pick-and-carry telehandler that expands its 44-foot telehandler family alongside the GTH-1044 and GTH-1244. The model is designed for high-capacity material transport across large jobsites, where mobility and cycle time are key productivity factors.
With a maximum lift height of 44 feet, 7 inches, the GTH-1544 is intended for applications where materials are moved horizontally across jobsite distances rather than placed at maximum height. The machine is designed to operate without stabilizers, supporting continuous movement, and reducing downtime between lifts.
Genie states the model is aimed at high-demand sectors such as infrastructure, industrial maintenance, steel erection, and energy projects, where telehandlers frequently function as material transport units across active sites.
The pick-and-carry design allows operators to move loads continuously throughout a working height of 24 feet, 11 inches( 7.6 meters) and a platform capacity of 441 pounds( 200 kilograms). An extension deck allows operators to reach across ductwork, racking, piping, and other obstacles.
Its narrow chassis and low stowed height enable the machine to fit through standard doorways and passenger elevators. Battery power provides emissions-free operation and is designed to support an eighthour work shift on a single charge.
LGMG also introduced the H5519E, its first electric telehandler in North America. The machine offers a maximum lifting capacity of 5,500 pounds( 2,495 kilograms), a maximum lift height of 19 feet, 6 inches( 5.94 meters), and a compact overall width of 6 feet, 1 inch( 1.86 meters).
The electric telehandler is intended for indoor facilities, underground projects, and urban jobsites with emissions or noise restrictions while remaining capable of operating on rugged outdoor terrain. LGMG said it delivers performance comparable to diesel-powered telehandlers in its size class while completing a full eight-hour shift on a single charge under typical operating conditions.

The GTH-1544 includes approximately 80 % parts commonality with Genie’ s GTH 10K and 12K telehandlers, a design intended to simplify servicing and reduce downtime for rental fleets. It is powered by a 120 horsepower engine with a powershift transmission designed for jobsite travel and material transport applications.
Other features include Dana axles, a ZF transmission, foam-filled Enduro A / T tires, improved hose routing, and a redesigned gauge cluster intended to enhance durability and serviceability in demanding conditions.

SwRI Completes Medium-Duty Hydrogen Engine

Southwest Research Institute( SwRI) has completed development of a sparkignited hydrogen internal combustion engine designed for medium-duty commercial vehicles.
The two-year development program resulted in an H2-fueled internal combustion engine that SwRI said demonstrates diesel-like torque characteristics and performance while producing near-zero tailpipe CO2 emissions.
The engine was developed in collaboration with a commercial client and selected Tier 1 suppliers. The program included development and testing of both single-cylinder and multi-cylinder engines before the completed engine was designed for installation in a medium-duty commercial truck chassis.
The H2-ICE is based on a pent-roof-style engine design previously developed for gasoline combustion. SwRI modified the design to optimize it for hydrogen fuel.
The engine uses modified port geometry intended to improve flow and accommodate hydrogen’ s faster combustion speeds. A larger intake valve increases volumetric efficiency, while H2-specific fuel injectors are used for hydrogen combustion.
A turbocharger provides diesel-like torque performance, and the engine incorporates an engine control system designed and calibrated by SwRI.
