JLG Debuts 1230P Push-Around Lift, Updates Entire Low-Level Access Line
JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company, has expanded its line of low-level access equipment with the launch of the new 1230P push-around lift. The announcement also includes a series of upgrades to the company’ s existing push-around and non-powered models.
Introduced on May 19, 2025, the JLG 1230P is designed as a lightweight, ladder-replacement solution for indoor work across a range of applications, including facility maintenance, commercial construction, healthcare, retail and data centers. With a working height of 17 feet 4 inches and a platform capacity of 440 pounds, the 1230P offers 360-degree hands-free access to overhead work zones.
The unit features a vertical rail system for operator protection, auto-lock brakes for stability when elevated and an easy-lock caster system for improved maneuverability. Its compact 28-inch by 33.5-inch footprint allows it to pass through standard doorways and fit into elevators, while its low weight and ground pressure make it suitable for delicate floors.
In addition to the new model, JLG has announced upgrades across its entire low-level access lineup, which includes the 830P and 1030P push-around lifts and EcoLift 50 and EcoLift 70 models. Enhancements include:
• Ergonomic steel platforms with improved grip and durability
• Punched holes in platforms for better visibility, drainage and airflow
• Upgraded vertical rails( excluding 1030P)
• Improved caster functionality for easier positioning
• Auto-lock brakes now standard on all push-around units
According to JLG, the updates aim to improve ease of use, operator safety and jobsite productivity by offering more robust alternatives to ladders and scaffolding.
New AI Pedestrian Detection System for Forklift Safety from Burwell Material Handling
Burwell Material Handling announced a new distribution partnership with Arcure to bring the Blaxtair AI-powered pedestrian detection system to customers across its 18-branch U. S. network.
Blaxtair uses real-time artificial intelligence to detect and distinguish pedestrians from objects near forklifts, alerting operators before accidents occur. Burwell will now include the system as part of its Connect & Protect technology suite.
The announcement coincided with the 12th annual National Forklift Safety Day on June 10, 2025, which was led by the Industrial Truck Association to raise awareness about operator training and pedestrian safety. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration reports that nearly 70 % of forklift-related accidents could be avoided through proper safety measures.
Technicians at Burwell have already been trained to install and support Blaxtair systems on both new and existing forklifts. With nearly 80 years of experience and service coverage in more than 30 states, the company is positioned to deliver the technology wherever it’ s needed.
This move is part of Burwell’ s continued investment in connected fleet technologies aimed at enhancing workplace safety, visibility and equipment uptime.
