JLG Introduces Rapid Replaceable Platform for Select Boom Lifts
JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation business and leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers, introduced its new Rapid Replaceable Platform as a standard feature on select boom lift models in North America. The new platform is designed to streamline maintenance and reduce equipment downtime by allowing for quick platform replacement in the field.
The Rapid Replaceable Platform allows damaged platforms to be removed and installed significantly faster than traditional methods, helping machines return to service more quickly. Among the features integrated into the new platform design are a center storage tray, self-closing gates, dual USB-A and USB-C chargers, tool clip locations on both sides of the console box, a relocated manual storage box for improved protection and an LED light under the console box for illumination. These updates do not impact the platform’ s rated capacity and are fully compatible with approved JLG accessories.
Production of the new platform began in May 2025 and will roll out across all applicable platform sizes and models. Units built with the Rapid Replaceable Platform will not be compatible with traditional platforms. Replacement platforms can be ordered through JLG’ s Online Express system.
The change does not affect JLG’ s Toucan, Tow-Pro and compact crawler boom lift product lines, which will continue using the existing platform design.
CLARK SMART Telematics for Forklifts
CLARK Material Handling Company has officially launched CLARK SMART Telematics, a technology platform aimed at elevating safety, productivity and fleet management effectiveness. The system is offered as a factory-installed option on four popular lift models: GTS20‐33, S20‐35, S40‐60 and S20‐32C.
CLARK SMART integrates seamlessly with the truck’ s CAN Bus, providing real-time data, remote access and analytics, supported by a five-year service plan with no recurring fees.
Core toolsets include GPS tracking with remote shutdown, real-time accident alerts and digital pre-shift inspections that can trigger safe-mode operation or shutdowns if non-compliance is detected. Web-enabled analytics enable efficiency through operator productivity monitoring, service alerts and rental-hour tracking.
Genie Launches QR Code Feature for Faster Access to Lift Information
Genie has introduced a new digital feature designed to simplify how equipment owners and operators access important machine-specific information. Through a platform called Serial Hub, users can now scan QR codes placed directly on Genie lifts to quickly retrieve key data, including the operator’ s manual, maintenance guidelines, safety resources and parts availability.
The company began rolling out the QR code decals in July 2025. The decals are placed in easy-to-access locations on each machine, including the serial plate. Scanning the QR code with a smartphone or tablet opens a direct link to the Serial Hub, which delivers digital content specific to the machine’ s serial number.
The Serial Hub will also be accessible through GenieLift. com and the Genie customer portal, and will include convenient links for direct parts ordering, allowing users to order parts while standing next to the machine. There is no cost to access the platform or to have QR codes included on new machines.
Equipment owners can also retrofit existing Genie lifts with the QR code decals, which are available for purchase and can be linked to machines already in service.
As a digital platform, Serial Hub will evolve with ongoing updates from Genie. Planned features include walk-around videos, operator and technician training materials and more tools aimed at improving machine familiarity, safety and productivity. These features are currently in development and will be released as they become available.
Genie expects QR codes to be included on all new machines in North America by the end of 2025, with global rollout to follow.
