Detroit DT12-VL Transmission Enhances Lift and Access Vehicles
Detroit has expanded its vocational transmission portfolio with the DT12-VL, a lightweight automated manual transmission designed for heavy-duty jobs that require both strength and precision. The DT12-VL is aimed at applications where payload efficiency and drivability are critical, including aerial lifts and material handling vehicles.
The DT12-VL provides 125 pounds of weight savings compared to the DT12-V and supports gross combination weights up to 80,000 pounds. It features 12 forward speeds, up to four reverse speeds, rear PTO and a wide ratio range. The transmission includes off-road, rock free and paver modes, which improve performance in challenging operational environments.
Available for Freightliner 114SD and Western Star 47X with Detroit DD13 engines, the DT12-VL complements the existing DT12-V and DT12-VX lineup.
NEW FOR RENTAL
Skyjack’ s new models all provide the same simple, reliable choice for rental. industry-standard 18-inch mounting bolt pattern, allowing them to serve as direct replacements for existing hydraulic winches.
