JLG Unveils ES2646 Scissor Lift With Aviation Package
JLG Industries, Inc. has introduced an Aviation Package for its ES2646 electric-drive scissor lift, designed specifically for aircraft manufacturing and maintenance tasks.
The new package combines advanced sensor technology to enhance safety and productivity in aviation environments.
With ultrasonic detection and light detection and ranging( LiDAR) technology, the system creates comprehensive sensing coverage around the scissor lift to prevent physical contact during maintenance and assembly. The addition of a powered extension deck, sensing zones and warning indicators streamlines and secures maintenance tasks.
The package features:
• Four LiDAR sensors to create a protective sensing curtain below the platform.
• Dynamic sensing zones that adjust with platform height.
• Electrically powered extension deck with integrated moving sensors.

The ES2646 scissor lift offers a 26-foot platform height with a 900-pound capacity. It accommodates up to two occupants indoors and one outdoors, making it versatile for various aviation applications.
