OZ Lifting Launches Davit Crane System for HVACR Rooftop Lifting
OZ Lifting Products has introduced a Davit Crane Rooftop Maintenance System designed to support HVACR contractors performing rooftop lifts of heavy equipment such as air handling units, condensing kits, exhaust fans and ductwork.
The system addresses a common construction and maintenance challenge where rooftop HVACR equipment must be installed without reliable access through elevators or stairways. It is available in multiple configurations, including davit crane capacities from 500 to 2,500 pounds. Contractors can select from four base styles with different finishes, along with manual or electric winch options, wire or synthetic rope and additional accessories. OZ Lifting noted that a seventh davit crane model and a fifth non-permanent base will be added to the product line in 2026.
The system is being used by some contractors as a replacement for frequent rental of lifting equipment. It is designed for portability and tool-free assembly, allowing one crane to be used with multiple base types across jobsites.
OZ Lifting davit cranes include U. S.-patented tool-free assembly, corrosion-resistant finishes and adjustable booms. The Tele-Pro davit crane is offered in 500-, 1,200- and 2,500-pound capacities and allows boom adjustment under load to help position rooftop lifts safely away from walls and windows. The company states all cranes are tested and certified to 125 % of rated capacity and manufactured in the U. S.
OTR Expands Track Options with New E5 Pattern
OTR Engineered Solutions( OTR) has expanded its rubber track lineup with the TrackBoss E5 tread, designed to provide surface-friendly performance while maintaining durability and traction. The new track aims to minimize damage to sensitive surfaces without compromising work efficiency. The E5 tread features a distinct multi-bar pattern that blends the smooth ride of traditional straight-bar tracks with the higher traction of tracks with multiple connecting points. Similar to other tracks in the TrackBoss line, the E5 is made from OTR’ s proprietary rubber compounds, formulated for enhanced durability and resistance to cutting and chunking. The track is engineered for longer service life while maintaining consistent performance. It is currently available in the most commonly used sizes and widths for compact track loaders.
LGMG Introduces H1256 Telehandler
LGMG announced the introduction of its new H1256 telehandler, expanding its lineup for construction, industrial and infrastructure applications. The high-capacity model is designed for rental fleet use and demanding jobsite conditions.
The H1256 offers a 12,000-pound lifting capacity, a maximum lift height of 56 feet, 1 inch and 42 feet of forward reach.

Three steering modes, including four-wheel steer and crab steer, are designed to enhance maneuverability in tight spaces. The machine includes a steel engine cover and additional steel components to support durability in daily rental use.
The cab includes intuitive controls, multiple load chart placements and a 9-inch display that provides engine and machine information for troubleshooting and service.
Mental Health, Sun Safety in Focus
May marks both Mental Health Awareness Month and Skin Cancer Awareness Month, drawing attention to ongoing health risks across the construction and access industries. Suicide rates among construction workers continue to outpace the national average, prompting greater emphasis on training, peer support and access to mental health resources.
At CONEXPO-CON / AGG 2026, organizers partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to raise more than $ 112,000 for mental health awareness and suicide prevention. The event also featured educational sessions, dedicated resource areas and wellness spaces aimed at reducing stigma and connecting workers with support.
Outdoor jobsite conditions can also expose workers to elevated levels of ultraviolet radiation, increasing the risk of skin cancer. Industry guidance encourages protective clothing, regular sunscreen use and routine skin checks to help reduce long-term health impacts.
Together, these efforts reflect a growing industrywide focus on improving worker well-being, with increased attention on both mental health support and physical safety beyond traditional jobsite hazards.
