Selected Lifting Equipment and Components
MEC 66-RJ
Part of MEC’ s MAX Series, the 66-RJ diesel telescopic boom targets a broad range of applications, from heavy construction to the precise positioning demands of glazing and industrial work. The machine is designed to deliver a combination of performance and capacity across varied jobsite conditions.
This boom lift reaches a working height of 72 feet with 56 feet of horizontal outreach and has an operating weight of 28,528 pounds. It supports a dual lift capacity of 900 pounds restricted and 600 pounds unrestricted, allowing crews to carry tools, materials and multiple operators within the work envelope without sacrificing stability. A standout feature is the 6-foot multi-directional jib, which offers 135 degrees of vertical articulation, 120 degrees of horizontal rotation and 180 degrees of platform rotation. This range of motion helps operators navigate around structural steel, framing and other obstacles without frequent chassis repositioning, a practical advantage on congested or complex jobsites.
On the ground, the 66-RJ includes two-wheel, four-wheel“ round” and crab steering modes, along with four-wheel drive, locking differential axles and a 7-degree oscillating axle. Foam-filled rough-terrain tires and up to 45 % gradeability support operation on uneven terrain, while maintaining maneuverability in tighter spaces.

Snorkel 600AJ
The Snorkel 600AJ articulating boom lift is designed for applications that require both high capacity and maneuverability in confined or complex environments. With a 66-foot working height and an unrestricted platform capacity of 1,000 pounds, the machine offers higher lifting capacity within its class, allowing operators to carry more tools and materials without reducing working range.
A zero-tail swing configuration supports operation in tighter spaces, while a 135-degree jib arc and extended working envelope are intended to improve positioning in up-and-over applications. Additional features, such as axle oscillation, contribute to stability on uneven terrain, which remains a key consideration for articulating boom lifts operating on mixed jobsite conditions.
The unit is powered by a 65-horsepower Tier 4 Final diesel engine, aligning with current emissions requirements while maintaining the performance expected in this category. Operator-focused elements— including proportional controls and a multi-entry platform— are designed to support ease of use and jobsite efficiency.
The 600AJ’ s combination of lift capacity, reach and compact operation reflects ongoing demand for equipment that can balance productivity with space constraints, particularly in urban construction and industrial maintenance environments.

Genie S-85 XC FE
For projects that require reduced emissions or lower noise, Genie’ s newest boom lift, the S-85 XC FE hybrid boom, enables extended electric operation while retaining the backup of a fuel-powered generator. This allows crews to work indoors, in urban settings or in regulated environments without sacrificing uptime. The hybrid system supports continuous operation, with the ability to keep working even when the battery is of low capacity. Combined with four-wheel drive, active oscillating axles and rough-terrain performance, the machine adapts to a wide range of jobsite conditions.
The XC design supports up to 1,000-pound platform capacity for most of the working envelope, allowing operators to handle heavier tools and materials with fewer repositioning cycles. This is particularly valuable for applications such as steel erection, infrastructure work and industrial maintenance, where productivity at height directly impacts project timelines. Integrated power options further enhance versatility by enabling crews to operate tools directly from the platform.
For the North American Market, Genie’ s Lift Power can provide up to 12 kilowatts. The lithium-ion battery eliminates routine maintenance such as watering and replacement, while more than 80 design improvements enhance durability and simplify service. With fewer hydraulic components, sealed systems and faster diagnostics, the S-85 XC FE is designed to support longer operating periods with reduced downtime.
